WHO WILL LINDSAY LOHAN BLAME FOR WRECK?

Lindsay dined at The IVY, then strolled down Robertson Blvd. to shop. The paparazzi were out in force and photographed her every move. For an hour Lindsay shopped as she was snapped by the shutterbugs. Then she and a friend walked to her car and posed for a few more publicity shots before she sped away in her convertible Mercedes. Moments later she had reversed her direction and was seen driving back past The IVY, according to eye witnesses, in excess of fifty miles per hour. Seconds later she crashed into a van which was parallel parking at the curb.

The news shows are already implying that the paparazzi are to blame, even though eye witnesses say there were no paparazzi in the area. One channel, FOX 11, is featuring eye witness statements that say no photographers were involved. So far, the Sheriff's Department says the same. It also says no alcohol was involved. No report on drug test, so far.

Check out the scene shot by our photographers and videographers who had photographed he earlier and were still at The IVY when she sped past and crashed in front of The NEWSROOM.

When she crashed, she and her companion ran into the appropriately named HIDEAWAY ANTIQUES without checking on the status of the injured driver of the van. They eventually went out the back door, escorted by Sheriff's Deputies, into an ambulance headed to Cedars Sinai Hospital, located one block down the street. Lindsay's face was covered with a white fabric towel as she exited. (See the exclusive exit on the video!)

Will this be another paparazzi bashing witch hunt? Why not just give the celebrities a "Get out of jail, free!" card? There is no way to have a high speed chase, without the person in front driving at a high rate of speed. Celebrities failing to accept responsibility for their reckless driving is the real problem. Plus, those eyewitnesses saying there were no paparazzi involved kind of invalidates the "Paparazzi made me do it!" theory.

What next? "The devil made me do it?" It is time laws against speeding and reckless driving are enforced equally against all violators. Law enforcement agencies need to stop playing the politically correct game and start enforcing laws equally for all.

Hugh Grant and girlfriend Jemima Khan exited the trendy Beverly Hills restaurant, MR.CHOW, to be greeted by very polite photographers and fans. Jemima entered vehicle from passenger side, while Hugh circled the SUV and climbed in driver's door. Once seated, Hugh signed for thankful fans and appeared to be in fine spirits. As he drives away, Hugh turns steering wheel hard left, accelerates, and knocks a paparazzo down with driver's side rear view mirror. Mr. Grant then drives away without stopping. Stars know which club gets paparazzi action. They go there, in this case, to Spider, where they party all night then come out to the waiting paparazzi. This is not accidental. These young actresses are promoting themselves using the most efficient promotional tool in their arsenal.
These photographers put out thousands of pictures and hundreds of magazine and newspaper stories at no cost to the star. The star's publicist can manage one story a week, the paparazzi one hundred stories a week for the star. Publicists cost several thousand dollars a week, paparazzi cost nothing. Volume of publicity generated by paparazzi is huge, by publicists, meager. No wonder the publicists hate the paparazzi, they are the publicists biggest competition, and they are free!

Nicolette Sheridan and boyfriend had dinner at Flavor of India.
When they came out she walked a huge dog and said "Kill" and ""Get them" to the paparazzi when she was asked if dog was a "Paparazzi attack dog'. Nicolette did this only in fun and stopped to sign for fans. When asked about finale of Desperate Housewives, she responded, "It's very exciting."

GONZO GONE!

Hunter S. Thompson blasted off to the next universe on his evercontinueing trip. Aloha Hunter! You were my hero. My teller of truths too awful for anyone else to mention.

I met him in Woody Creek, Colorado on a Christmas paparazzi ski trip. I went out to the Woody Creek Inn just to meet him. I had lived by the Gonzo code for many years and thought conversing with him might be enlightening.

He posed for me outside the Inn and we talked cameras for a while, swapped a few stories, then I went back to my task. I did not see him again till Jack Nicolson's AFI Tribute after party at The Monkey Bar. I was invited inside and shot Hunter on top of the bar in his tux with a giant joint in his mouth. I will dig the pictures out tomorrow and put them here in remembrance of all the laughs the Great Gonzo left on this Earth.

Good Luck Gonzo, where ever you are! You were a guiding light.

RAINDROPS KEEP FALLING ON MY HEAD

Raindrops keep falling on my head. Thunder storm rolled in on Hollywood. Leaks in ceiling flowing steadily. Wind and rain kicking up. Might have to go up on roof. If you don't hear from me, send search party.

Call first, I may have gone back to bed, though the cold shower I got adjusting tarp on front of roof from porch drenched me. Gallons down the back of my neck. Should have soaped up before going out.

King of the Paparazzi

Lawyers are deal killers! Contracts make my head hurt. We were supposed to be finished by Friday afternoon! It's dark outside. Does anyone else hate lawyers? Is this any way to start blogging?

What new pics did we get today? Angelina Jolie is taking flying lessons, but she is surrounded by cops and the recent influx of foreign paparazzi. Will find her out at dinner, with Brad, if I get lucky!
